Lauren Gismondi is a native NYer who somehow has never been able to stop laughing at herself. Growing up in NYC's shadow, Long Island, gave her a distinct perspective on the arts. There was always music on in her childhood home, and that made a lasting impression. She began singing in church at the age of six, and has let little stop her since then. Lauren started studying classical music in high school, and went on to earn a BFA in Musical Theatre at SUNY Fredonia in western New York. After graduating, she took to the regional theatre scene, playing roles to audiences both large and small.

Since returning to her old stomping grounds of Queens, Lauren began working every angle of the industry. Whether it’s producing, directing, writing, performing, recording, working as a reader, casting, marketing- Lauren has been determined, from a young age, to learn all the aspects. She has written three short films with Dead Man’s Toe Productions, and is in the final phases of editing her first feature length film with friend and much loved colleague, Chris Harris. She can be heard on 29Lives the Series, currently on YouTube and soon-to-be album. She also had the distinct pleasure of working with several of BMI's composer/lyricist teams on a plethora of new musicals. She is often sought after for how quickly she picks up material, and how she easily adapts to new and different circumstances.

When not working in the performing arts, Lauren spends her time by: cooking and baking, analyzing data for VTS, traveling, reading, petting other people's dogs, teaching voice and music to the next generation of singers, and searching for the best cannoli in NYC.
